Some people set goals as follows:
Equation: Amount of Effort/Goal setting = Amount of Reward in Life/Success/Failure
- I don't like to set goals because I like to "fly by the seat of my pants." Result: Poverty
- I want to do what I want to do and don't want anyone to tell me what to do. Result: Very little/Poverty
- I want to do as little as possible but obtain a lot. Result: Very little/Poverty
- I am willing to do a little but expect to reap a lot in return. Result: Very little/Poverty
- I am willing to do my share but no more. Result: Average.
- I am willing to do my share but willing to go the extra mile. Result: Better than average.
- I am willing to do more than my share no matter how hard the effort: Very successful.
Some of you who are reading this will say, "This is such a simple deduction, everyone should know this principle in life."
No...everyone does not comprehend these simple principles and think that the successful people are simply "lucky" and do not realize how much effort that has been put forth to gain their success.
