July 24, 2009 - DO YOU THINK LIKE A WINNER OR A LOSER?

The following is armchair psychology. Judge for yourself!

THINKING PATTERN OF A LOSER:

  1. I give up
  2. There is no use in trying
  3. Why should I try, it is not going to work anyway
  4. I have bad luck
  5. Everybody is against me
  6. I tried and it didn't work
  7. It's too hard and won't work anyway
  8. I'm going to have a "pity party" and wallow in my self-pity because I deserve it

THINKING PATTERN OF A WINNER:

  1. I am not going to give up...no matter what
  2. If I don't try, nothing will surely work
  3. If I keep trying, somehow it will eventually work
  4. I have bad luck but some of this is my fault and I need to do better
  5. Some people may be against me but I will prove to them that they are wrong
  6. I tried...it didn't work so I am going to keep trying until it does work
  7. I don't care how hard it is...if someone comparable to me can do it...then so can I
  8. I am not going to engage in a "pity party" but I am going to go out and find some positive friends and engage in a "real party."

The lists could go on and on...but you get the message. Our successes and failures lie primarily within the space located between our two ears. With the exception of serious disabilities or ailments, anyone can be successful.

Definition of succeed: To obtain a desired object or end

The definition of success does not always mean obtaining wealth. Success can usually be measured by a person's "happiness gauge" as to whether they have obtained their goal or not.

Ask yourself...do you think like a winner or a loser? Have you obtained your desired objects in life or obtained the desired results of a given situation/relationship?
