Once again, I am on my soap box. I have several boxes but this one deals with a subject that irritates me the most:
Obama and his followers keep trying to "spin" everyone into thinking that the conservative protestors are simply "troublemakers." How dare he?
Noooooooo...we only want to be informed. Informed...read my lips Obama...informed. Some of you will say that he is constantly informing us. But do we believe his beautifully crafted words? No, most people don't. Why? Everytime he makes a speech about the healthcare plan, it is different from the previous one he has given. The democrats keep changing the bill. He wants us to take him at his word and accept the bill when they have not even come up with a final bill yet. They are resisting posting the final one online so that some of us might read it.
The democratic lawmakers are insisting that the healthcare bill be passed right away, whether it is read by the members of the Congress or Senate who are going to vote on it...or not. THEY JUST WANT IT PASSED...NO MATTER WHAT.
This is insanity! I am beginning to think that the world is going mad because so many illogical decisions are being made.
Everyone who votes on "any" bill in both houses should have to "prove" that they have read it. Otherwise, they are simply voting along party lines and the bills might not be in the interest of "all" Americans.
Our government should represent "all" Americans and not just the wishes of the democrats and the liberals of our nation. It should be illegal to vote on something you have not read. As I said...this is insanity.
In spite of what the democrats and liberals think, we conservatives want change but we want "informed" change. We are not as gullible as some of you and WILL NOT simply take someone's word for something (even if he is our President.) We want our lawmakers to make sure that the bills being passed are in the interest of "all" Americans. Change for the sake of change is not always good. Some of these changes might destroy the very fabric of our captalistic society and eventually lead us toward a socialistic regime.
It is absolutely amazing to me that the democratic leaders can get away with this "my way or the highway" behavior!

They have had enough of Obama's crusade to replace private health care with a government-run system that will empower federal bureaucrats to make life-and-death decisions about your medical care -- and that will put all your private medical records in a government database (don't worry, they promise never to use them to harm you)
They have had enough of Obama's proposed tax hikes and tax "surcharges" to pay for all his spending programs that will drive U.S. tax rates higher even than the welfare-state economies of Europe (New Yorkers, for instance, could face a combined federal-state income tax rate of nearly 60 percent)
They have had enough of the appalling rogue's gallery of crooks, cronies, tax cheats, and political big-spending leftists that Obama has appointed to the highest levels of our government -- while firing or abruptly "retiring" official government watchdogs who have blown the whistle on his cronies and their schemes
They have had enough of the outrageous threats to investigate and prosecute Bush-era anti-terrorist agents and officials for the heroic work they did in keeping our country safe

September 13, 2009 - THANK GOODNESS FOR FOX NEWS CHANNEL
Someone told me today that the New York Times did not cover the 1.5 million gathering of common, ordinary Americans who were protesting the health care plan in front of the white house yesterday (9/12/2009.) Also, it was minimally covered by other media outlets. Can you believe what is happening to us as Americans?
A friend and I were discussing how glad we are that Fox News Channel covers these types of situations as they should be covered. If it wasn't for them we might wake up in the year 2013 and wonder "What happened? Why do we have this type of health care? How did we get where we are?"
We are certainly not being properly informed by the major networks. The left wing liberals think that Fox is a Republican network but actually they are only a "conservative" channel. It is not that Fox leans to the "right" but that the "left" leans so far from the middle that it seems that Fox is a right wing network.

September 10, 2009 - OBAMA'S LATEST HEALTH CARE SPEECH
I am sure a lot of people tuned in to hear Obama's latest speech on health care reform.
He was a little more specific in stating what the plan will include...if he can be believed...and it was not just a bunch of pretty words by a great orator.
He says that he will reduce the fraud and unnecessary elements out of medicare, etc. If you remember, he stated in one of his campaign speeches that he was going to go line by line and take out all of the unnecessary earmarks of upcoming bills. Did he do that? No...he added a whole bunch of unnecessary ones and did not take out a single one. He has made a lot of pretty speeches that have not been backed up by "action." Since being in office, he has not reduced anything in any bill but has signed off on bills that are "loaded" with unnecessary items that could wait until we get in better financial shape.
I do not think he acted very Presidential when he sternly accused the media and Republicans in spreading untruths about his bill. He acted as if he had been extremely explicit, during past speeches, on what was going to be in the health care bill and that the bill itself was easy for people to understand. He tried to imply that everyone was being stubborn and partisan in not going along with him. The problem has been that he has been extremely ambiguous about the bill which has been declared as being indiscernible by educated people. He is amazing!

September 8, 2009 - OBAMA'S SPEECH TO SCHOOL CHILDREN
I am sure that there are a lot of people who are wondering why there is so much fervor over Obama making a speech to school children and with some parents going so far as to refusing to allow their children to listen to this speech.
One principal of a school states that the school's schedule is so rigid that they cannot fit it in today.
One principal states that the lesson plan for the teachers to follow afterward contains too much "hero worship" and does not allow for independent and critical thinking of the children.
I think there are many reasons that parents are balking but I think the main reason is: Everyday, it is becoming more and more evident that Obama and his associates are very "socialistic minded" and some parents are afraid that the "young minds" of their children will be impacted by the words of the President in a negative way.
Their fears are probably unfounded and he might give a wonderful and inspiring speech that will motivate the children. The problem is...who is our President? What really drives him? Is he trying to turn Americans toward Communism? His legacy today is being judged/written based on his past associations and goals which have leaned heavily left and toward Marxism.
Socialism has become a "dirty word" in the minds of most of us Americans. While socialism might work for some countries, we Americans fear that we would eventually wind up like Russia and Cuba, to state only a couple of dysfunctional countries.

Reagan said: "One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It’s very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. Most people are a little reluctant to oppose anything that suggests medical care for people who possibly can’t afford it.”
Boy does that resonate!
It sounds like President Reagan had the foresight to see the dangers of Obamacare.

This is just about as stupid as it would be if he was guilty of committing murder and thinking that by simply apologizing that it will make everything just fine and dandy and that his past actions/remarks/theology makes absolutely no difference as he functions as a Czar. This is the Obama way of handling things...just fluff it off...while insulting the intelligence of the American people, expecting them to swallow this type of excuse for Obama bringing another flaming liberal into the white house.

I have a friend who has a posting today about miracles. Miracles do happen.

Obama's Marxcare will be written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it and whose members will be exempt from it, signed by a president who smokes, funded by a treasury chief who did not pay his taxes, overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that is broke.
